Malacca Space Center

Malacca Space Center is located at a 150 acres land within Bandar Jasin Bestari, southern part of the City of Malacca. Space Tourism Society Malaysia Chapter (STS-MC) was offered to purchase the land from Perbadanan Tanah Adat Melaka (PERTAM) to develop & operate the space center with educational theme. PERTAM had developed 75% of Bandar Jasin Bestari and Malacca Space Center will be the final development of the area known as Phase VI, where Phase I, II & II had been sold, Phase IV is being sold and Phase V is under construction.

The development Malacca Space Center will be grouped into two categories and hence zones. There will be Educational Zone (100 acres) and Commercial Zone (50 acres). The 100 acres Educational Zone will be known as University Park and will consist of a university, a research & development center, a residential center for academicians & researchers, Villa Luna Moon
Architecture Research Bungalows and an educational theme park. The 50 acres Commercial Zone known as City Park will consist of a residential center and a commercial center with emphasis on the concept of “City within a Park” with extensive application of green energy & lifestyle.

University Park
A university which will be participating in the zero gravity research programs by University of Zurich under the grant from European Space Agency (ESA) and German Aerospace Center (DLR) will be developed and operated commercially on a 20 acres land.

The R&D Center
A research & development center focusing in zero gravity research, development of suborbital spaceplane and research & development on space tourism will be developed & operated commercially on a 20 acres land. The zero gravity research will consist of the activities by University of Zurich and its partners and also other institutions. The development of suborbital spaceplane will consist of activities by Talis Enterprise on Black Sky research rocketplane and Enterprise suborbital tourism rocketplane and also Malaysian local VTOL suborbital spaceplane program. The space tourism R&D program will combine
both the zero gravity research & development of suborbital spaceplane.

Residential for Academicians & Researchers
A residential for academicians & researchers who work at the university and R&D center or other nearby academic and research institution will be developed, sold & operated commercially on a 20 acres land. This residential will establish a community of academicians & researchers.

Villa Luna Moon Architecture Research Bungalows
Villa Luna Moon Architecture Research Bungalows is a program to promote the study and exploration of Moon via a housing project with lunar theme. It consist of bungalows with lunar architecture & technology but practical & economic for terrestrial residential, and will be developed, sold & operated commercially on a 20 acres land.

Educational Theme Park
An educational theme park consists of Astronaut Hall of Fame, a cosmosarium and an SLS coaster ride will be developed & operated commercially. Astronaut Hall of Fame is a museum of astronautics that immortalize astronauts and space tourists and their adventures with galleries dedicated to the Malaysian astronaut, Space Safety and Space Tourism, Space Shuttle, Soyuz, ISS and the Apollo program. The cosmosarium is an immersive dome theater focusing on space travel and exploration rides, while SLS coaster ride will be launch from a scaled model of SLS (Space Launch System) – the Space Shuttle replacement. This educational theme park will be developed & operated commercially on a 20 acres land.

Green Residential Center
A residential center will be developed, sold & operated commercially on a 20 acres land. It will consist of houses designed with green architecture and technology, including solar & wind power generation & rain water harvesting.

Space Center Central
A commercial center called Space Center Central (SCC) will be developed, sold & operated commercially on a 30 acres land. SCC will house a hotel, premium commercial outlets & offices, a transit center with stations for electric public transportation and a VTOL terminal. The VTOL terminal is for the operation of helicopters and other VTOL aircrafts including skycars and VTOL suborbital spaceplanes.The helicopter will provide exclusive transportation betweenMalacca Space Center and
surrounding airports including Malacca Airport at Batu Berendam which is 20km away and KLIA. The skycar will provide recreational rides while the VTOL spaceplane is planned to be developed by STS-MC.
